Govinda advised neurologist consultation, after being discharged from Mumbai hospital

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Govinda has been advised complete bed rest for the next 48 hours and consultation with a neurologist as well as a CT/MRI scan as further precaution, said doctors at the CritiCare hospital in suburban Mumbai.

The popular actor who was admitted to the CritiCare Hospital at Juhu was discharged during the day on Wednesday. Govinda was admitted at 1:00 am on Wednesday early morning after he fainted at his residence in Juhu due to disorientation.

Doctors confirmed that he had experienced exhaustion from overexertion during workout claimed a report in the Bombay Times. The 61-year-old actor was taken to the hospital where he was treated for dehydration and other issues. He was discharged in the afternoon after spending nearly 12 hours in the hospital. He has been advised complete bed rest for the next 24 to 48 hours, said a source at the hospital.

Govinda Discharged, Thanks Fans For Support
According to Bombay Times, Govinda was seen leaving the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, appearing in good health. Addressing media outside CritiCare Hospital, he assured fans that he was recovering well and expressed gratitude for their concern and prayers. “Achcha hu main. Zyada hardwork kar liya aur fatigue ho gaya. Yog pranayam achcha hai, thoda sa heavy exercises tough hai. Main try kar raha hu personality zyada achchi ho jaye. Toh mujhe lagta hai yog pranayam hi theek hai,” the actor said while smiling at the cameras.

His friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal, told the media that Govinda was taken to the hospital around 1:00 am after feeling uneasy at home. “Kal din mein unko weakness thi, and then achanak se shaam ko disorientation laga tha for a few seconds. Unconscious hue the… Uske baad unke family doctor ne unko phone pe ek dawai batai which he took,” Bindal said. Doctors later advised rest and follow-up consultations with a neurologist as a precaution.
