MUMBAI: In an interesting and newsworthy announcement for freshers hoping to get a foot-hold in the film and entertainment industry, the Maneesh F Singh promoted Vrindaavan Films today said they would be launching four web series projects. Vrindaavan Films would only cast freshers or new comers for the projects who would be selected after a nationwide talent search.
According to director and producer Maneesh F Singh, “There are hundreds if not thousands of aspiring actors trying to get a foothold in the industry. We want to give them a chance. Hence as a socially responsible production house we have decided to launch four web series projects based on mythological themes or topics. We will conduct a nationwide talent hunt, with auditions in more than 20 cities of India. Those who qualify will be selected for the projects. The first web series will go on floor during the last week of January next year. We will also launch an OTT platform next month and these web series will be first released on our own platform. Later on we will make them available to other OTT platforms at a discounted budget to enable Indian audiences to benefit from our work.”
Vrindaavan Films said it was not looking at profit. “We are trying to give back to the industry from which we all began. By promoting freshers, we want to give them a chance to showcase their talent,” Singh said.
