MUMBAI: With his trademark smile, warm demeanor and interesting one-liners, Malad’s MLA Aslam Shaikh does not fail to rock Mumbai, particularly the younger crowd.
On Sunday, Malad witnessed an electrifying surge of energy and enthusiams as Aslam’s Malad Masti Season 9, entered its third consecutive week, drawing a record crowd of over one lakh people to the Back Road behind Inorbit Mall, Malad West.
The Sunday morning celebration once again reinforced Malad Masti’s status as one of the city’s largest and most loved community-driven fitness and entertainment fun movements.
Week three unfolded as a grand spectacle with the presence of leading names from the entertainment and music industry. Elvish Yadav, Emiway Bantai and Sapna Choudhary set the stage afire and buzzing with excitement, while music director duo Amjad Nadeem, along with Mushkaan Khan and Shahzad Ali, amplified the musical fervour. Adding to the Bollywood presence, Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, interacted warmly with attendees, further energizing the massive gathering.
The event also served as a platform for music events promotions, with Sapna Choudhary, Aveera Singh and producer-actor Pradeep Nagar attending to promote their latest songs Luv You Sasu Maa and Dilli Ka Dil. Pradeep Nagar, who also features in the projects, praised Malad Masti as a unique initiative that seamlessly blends fitness, positivity and community bonding. Director Nagendra Choudhary and choreographer Sushma joined the celebrations, extending their support to the movement.
A highlight of the morning came when MLA Aslam Shaikh himself joined the crowd on the dance floor, grooving to a superhit track from Dhurandhar and drawing thunderous applause.
Addressing the crowd, he encouraged citizens to embrace healthier lifestyles, exercise, step outdoors for morning activities and disconnect from mobile phones to reconnect with real-life community experiences. He also announced that funds raised this year through the event will be donated to farmers affected by the heavy rains of 2025, reinforcing Malad Masti’s strong value-based social commitment.
