NEW DELHI: Anunay Sood, a popular and well-known travel influencer, died suddenly at the age of 32. Now another Mumbai-based influencer and model (name withheld on request) has alleged that the very popular travel vlogger may have been poisoned by a rival or by others who were jealous of his success.
“Sood had made a few enemies among the rich and powerful. It is possible that he may have been poisoned in his hotel room in Las Vegas where he was found dead,” the model said on condition of anonymity.
Sood had created a huge fan base on social media at a young age with his passion and dedication and his untimely death left his fans and friends in shock and mourning. Although the real cause of his death is still unknown, his family members announced the unfortunate news on social media. While some say he was poisoned, others on social media claimed he died due to a massive heart attack. The police in Las Vegas have recorded his death as due to natural causes, meaning it was probably a massive heart attack, the autopsy report is still awaited
Who Was Anunay Sood?
According to a Bombay Times report, Anunay was a well stablished travel influencer and photographer. He was based in Dubai and had a huge following of 1.4 million followers on Instagram. He also was a prominent figure on YouTube with 380,000 subscribers. He gained recognition among so many other influencers because of his unique way of shooting and editing his videos, reels, vlogs and photos.
He was also listed in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars List in 2022, 2023 and again in 2024. In addition to sharing his travel experiences on social media Anunay was also part of a marketing firm. Two days before his death the vlogger was enjoying Las Vegas. He also dropped a new video on his YouTube channel. Amid all the success, his passing away leaves his fans, friends and family in shock.

Anunay’s latest posts on Instagram shows that he was in Las Vegas. While the cause of death has not been disclosed, his family has shared the disheartening news on with the world with a statement that read, “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly ask for your understanding and privacy as we navigate this difficult time.”
Well, Anunay’s passion and influence extended beyond travel and photography, he inspired many. Even though he is no more but his words, his work, his legacy will always stay imprinted on social media platforms. May his soul rest in peace.
